Find websites and companies using a technology or technology category. Returned objects include available company, contact, social, and technology details. No input rows or collection are required.

Public ID: technologies-source. Get the current definition. You can read it without authentication. Confirm availability in the source catalog.

Settings

Choose at least one technology or category. Send arrays of catalog values for technologies, categories, countries, languages, industries, and companySizes.

  • If you send both technologies and categories, only the technologies selection is used.
  • Set matchTechnologies to or for any selected technology, or and for all of them.
  • subset limits results per technology. Selecting several technologies can return more than that number overall.
  • sliceRule selects a traffic segment.

Keep the complete search within 10,000 results by using filters and a small subset. A larger search fails rather than returning only the first 10,000 results.

For version filters, use the additional settings version_<technology-slug> and version_operator_<technology-slug>. Available fields depend on the technology. API tasks do not appear in workspace search history.

categoriesstring[]

Technology categories to include.

technologiesstring[]

Filter leads using technologies. If a Technology Category is selected, keep this setting empty to filter on all technologies. By default, technologies with less than 500 websites are hidden. Filter with "Technology Categories" to have technologies with fewer websites. 👉 Check out Wappalyzer’s full list of tracked technologies.

matchTechnologiesstring

For several technologies, choose "or" to match any or "and" to match all. Defaults to "or".

Enabled when: technologies!=false,none.

Allowed values: "or", "and"
keywordsstring

Keywords to match on websites. Separate alternatives with commas, or use "not" to exclude a keyword, such as "not health".

countriesstring[]

Target websites in specific countries. The website country is determined from the website content or from the server IP Address.

languagesstring[]

Only return websites available in ALL of the selected languages.

matchCountryOrLanguageboolean

When checked, returns websites that match either country or language. When unchecked, returns websites that match both country and language.

Enabled when: languages!=false,none&countries!=false,none.

industriesstring[]

Choose which company industries to include.

companySizesstring[]

Filter leads by company size. Company size is available for a portion of the websites we track. To get more results, leave this blank or select multiple.

excludeListIdstring

You can exclude results from a previously created list. ⚠️ Exclusions are recursive. If you exclude list “A” when creating list “B”, then excluding “B” in a new list will also exclude “A”.

subsetnumber

Maximum results per technology. Several technologies can return more than this number in total. Keep the complete API search within 10,000 results by using filters and a small limit.

sliceRulestring

Choose which traffic segment to return when there are more matches than your limit.

Allowed values: "0", "1", "2", "3", "4"

Additional properties are supported.

Credits and limits

Cost: 5 credits per imported company.

The standard price is 5 credits per returned company record. Credits are checked before requesting or completing the search. Generated-object counts are not a general budget guarantee; use the task's credits.used for actual usage. This source supports at most 10,000 results per complete search. Larger searches must be split with filters or smaller limits.

Tasks can run for up to 24 hours; completed, failed, or stopped tasks are kept for 90 days. Enrichment and source tasks share your account balance and task limits. Set maxCredits to stop starting new work after a credit threshold; work already underway can still exceed it. See limits and errors.

Accepted task and results

The API returns 202 Accepted with a task ID. Save it, then check links.self every few seconds. Once status is completed, failed, or stopped, read links.results. Failed and stopped tasks can still have useful results. See the task reference.

Example results (sample data and credit amounts):

json
{
"taskId": "00000000000040008000000000000001",
"results": [
{
"url": "https://example.com",
"companyName": "Example Company",
"technology": "WordPress",
"versions": "6.6"
}
],
"nextCursor": null
}

If nextCursor is not null, pass it unchanged in the next request to get more results. Pages default to 50 results; limit accepts 1–100. A page is at most 128 KiB, so it may contain fewer results than requested.
